Exeed LX Engine Oil Guide: Three Engines, One VIN Check

العربية

Quick answer

Exeed UAE's current LX brochure lists three engines: a 1.5T and a 1.5TCI in the Comfort grade (both 108 kW), and a 1.6TGDI in the Luxury grade (137 kW), all driving the front wheels. Because the oil requirement is set per engine, the first step is knowing which of the three your LX has. The brochure publishes no engine codes or oil data, and ShipMyPart has not verified the grade, quantity or change interval, so we identify the engine from your VIN before supplying oil and a filter.

Two Comfort cars can look identical and still have different engines and gearboxes. The VIN on your Mulkiya settles which row is yours.

Why "LX engine oil" has three possible answers

Engine oil is specified for an engine, not for a model name. The LX shares its badge across three engines with different designations and outputs, so a recommendation that fits the Luxury 1.6TGDI may not be the one Exeed sets for a Comfort 1.5T, and the other way round. Shops that sell "LX oil" without asking which engine is fitted are guessing.

The same applies to the oil filter: check that the filter matches the engine, not just the model.

Clues to which LX you drive

  • Grade: Luxury means the 1.6TGDI on the current brochure; Comfort means one of the two 1.5 engines.
  • Gearbox feel: a CVT has no distinct gear changes, while the dual-clutch versions shift through steps. This narrows it down but is not proof.
  • Service records: earlier invoices often list the engine.
  • VIN: the only reliable answer, and the one we use.

The 1.6TGDI: turbo plus direct injection

On the Luxury grade the brochure names a 1.6TGDI, a turbocharged engine with direct injection. Engines of this type put two demands on oil at once: the turbo bearings run hot and fast, and direct injection can add fuel dilution and deposits. That is why the approval printed on the bottle matters as much as the thickness. The brochure does not describe the injection system of the two 1.5 engines, so we do not assume it.

Parts to change or check with the oil

PartNote for the LX

For major work we also source LX engine assemblies, once the version is confirmed.

Comfort or Luxury, the UAE routine is the same

Whichever engine your LX has, its year in the UAE usually mixes slow city traffic in 40-plus degrees with fast motorway runs. The first keeps the engine bay hot while the car barely moves; the second keeps the turbo working for long stretches. Oil takes the strain in both, so look up the severe-use schedule in the service book for your engine rather than the normal one. Exeed's interval is not verified by us, so we leave the number to the service book.

Frequently asked questions

Which engines does the Exeed LX have?

Exeed UAE's current brochure lists a 1.5T and a 1.5TCI (Comfort, 108 kW) and a 1.6TGDI (Luxury, 137 kW).

Do all Exeed LX versions use the same engine oil?

Not necessarily. The oil is specified per engine, so we confirm your engine by VIN first.

Which oil grade does the LX need?

The grade and approval Exeed specifies for your engine. ShipMyPart has not verified them; check the owner's manual or send us your VIN.

How much oil does the LX take?

It depends on the engine. We confirm the quantity by VIN when you order.

How often should LX oil be changed?

Follow the service book or an Exeed service centre, including severe-use rules for heat and short trips. We don't quote an interval until it is verified.

Can ShipMyPart supply oil and a filter for my LX?

Yes. After a VIN check we supply the specified oil and a matching filter with delivery in the UAE.
