GWM UAE's 2025 sheets list two completely different Wingle 7 engines: a 2.4-litre petrol (2,378 cc, 148 hp, 220 N·m) and the GW4D20D 2.0-litre diesel with a variable-geometry turbo (1,996 cc, 315 N·m). They need different engine oils, so the first question is which engine your pickup has. ShipMyPart has not verified either oil's grade, quantity or interval; we read the engine from your VIN before supplying oil and a filter.
| Petrol Wingle 7 | Diesel Wingle 7 | |
|---|---|---|
| Engine (2025 sheets) | 2.4-litre in-line 4, 2,378 cc | GW4D20D 2.0-litre with VGT turbo, 1,996 cc |
| Gearbox | 5-speed manual | 6-speed manual |
| Drive | 4x2 or 4x4 | 4x4 (BorgWarner electric 4WD) |
The fuel filler label and the VIN on your Mulkiya both tell you which engine you have; the VIN also tells us the exact version.

Diesel engines produce more soot and run higher pressures in the cylinders, so diesel engine oils are formulated to hold soot in suspension and, on engines with exhaust after-treatment, to limit the ash that can clog it. Petrol engine oils are built around different deposits and temperatures. A workshop that tops a diesel Wingle 7 up from the petrol shelf, or the other way round, is not doing the engine a favour. GWM's service data names a separate requirement for each.
The diesel's turbocharger has variable vanes that adjust boost from low revs, which is why the sheet lists full torque from 1,400 rpm. Those vanes and the turbo bearings live on engine oil; soot-laden, overdue oil is the usual enemy of a variable-geometry turbo. Change the fuel filter on schedule as well, because water in diesel fuel causes its own problems.
The petrol Wingle 7 uses the 2.4-litre in-line four GWM lists. It reaches its peak torque high in the rev range, between 4,000 and 4,400 rpm, so a loaded petrol pickup spends a lot of time at high revs on climbs. High revs mean hot oil; keep the level right and do not stretch the change.
| Sign | Next step |
|---|---|
| Oil pressure light | Stop and switch off; check the level, then the pressure sensor and pump |
| Diesel: black smoke and loss of pull | Have the turbo, intake and fuel system checked |
| Rising oil level on a diesel | Possible fuel in the oil; workshop check |
If the engine needs replacing we can source a Wingle 7 engine assembly for the right fuel type.
Write to us with the VIN and one word: petrol or diesel. That single detail decides the oil, the filter and, for the diesel, whether a fuel filter belongs in the same order. We then quote and deliver to any emirate.
Compatibility verification required
No fluid or part is listed here until its specification has been checked against GWM's requirement for your vehicle. Send your VIN and we will confirm what fits before you order.
Send your VIN (chassis number) and we will confirm the correct engine oil for your GWM Wingle 7.

No. Diesel and petrol engines have different oil requirements; GWM specifies each separately.

The quantities differ by engine and are not verified here; we confirm them by VIN.
Usually yes: it is typical severe use. Check your service book's severe schedule.
Yes, after a VIN check: engine oil, oil filter and, for the diesel, the fuel filter.
