The Exeed LX sold in the UAE uses one of three small turbocharged petrol engines: a 1.5T or 1.5TCI on the Comfort grade and a 1.6TGDI on the Luxury grade. When any of them runs hot, possible causes include a coolant leak, a thermostat or water pump fault, a radiator or intercooler clogged with dust, or a cooling fan that fails to start in traffic. A red warning means stop safely and switch off; leave the caps closed until everything is cold, and have a qualified workshop find the cause before ShipMyPart sources the part by VIN.
| Grade | Engine | Listed power | Gearbox |
|---|---|---|---|
| Comfort | 1.5T | 108 kW (Comfort grade) | CVT |
| Comfort | 1.5TCI | 6-speed DCT | |
| Luxury | 1.6TGDI | 137 kW | 7-speed DCT |
All versions are front-wheel drive five-seaters. Engine codes, model years, coolant type, quantity and change interval are not verified by ShipMyPart, so the VIN decides which cooling parts fit.

| Sense | What LX drivers report |
|---|---|
| Sight | Temperature bar or gauge higher than usual, a coolant message, steam from under the bonnet |
| Feel | Reduced pull as the engine management limits power; A/C becoming less cold at the same time |
| Smell | Sweet, syrupy odour around the front wheels after parking |
| Sound | Cooling fan running long after switch-off, or never running at all in traffic |
| Level | Reservoir below the minimum mark when checked cold |
First suspects (most common in daily use): low coolant from a weeping hose or reservoir, a radiator or fan not shifting enough air at standstill, and a thermostat that opens late.
Second suspects: a water pump with a leaking seal or tired bearing, a temperature sensor sending a wrong value to the gauge, or a cracked expansion tank that lets pressure escape.
Turbo-related: all three LX engines are turbocharged, so a restricted intercooler or a leaking charge pipe can make the engine work harder and add heat under load.
None of these is certain from symptoms alone; possible causes have to be tested by a workshop.
| Group | Parts | Note for the LX |
|---|---|---|
| Heat exchange | Radiator, intercooler | Stacked behind a compact front end; both can differ by engine |
| Circulation | Water pump, thermostat, belts and pulleys | Pump drive and thermostat housing depend on the engine fitted |
| Containment | Expansion tank, coolant reservoir, hoses and pipes | Plastic and rubber age faster in engine-bay heat |
| Measurement | Temperature sensor | A false reading can mimic or mask overheating |
If the level is low, a top-up only buys time; the reason it dropped still has to be found.
Stop immediately, safely and with the engine off, if a red temperature warning appears, steam rises from the bonnet, or the engine loses power while the gauge climbs. Call for recovery rather than driving on.
Arrange a qualified workshop diagnosis if you have to top up coolant repeatedly, if the fan seems never to run, or if the gauge creeps higher in traffic than it used to. Mention which engine your LX has; the workshop will confirm it from the VIN.
Do not restart if the oil looks milky or the exhaust smoke is white and sweet-smelling.
The LX is mostly a city and commuter crossover in the UAE. Long queues on Sheikh Zayed Road or in school-run traffic leave a small turbo engine idling with the A/C on full while the sun heats the bonnet, which tests the fan and radiator more than motorway driving. Car parks without shade add heat soak after switch-off. Keeping the grille free of debris and watching the gauge in summer jams helps catch a problem early.
Because the LX is sold with three different engines, a radiator, pump or thermostat listing for “Exeed LX” is not enough on its own. Send us the VIN through WhatsApp or the quote form, say whether your car is a Comfort or a Luxury, and name the part your workshop has identified. We confirm the engine, match the part and quote with UAE delivery. Coolant background is in the Exeed LX coolant guide.
Compatibility verification required
No part is listed here as compatible until it has been matched to your vehicle. Send your VIN and we will confirm which parts fit before you order.
Send your VIN (chassis number) and we will confirm the correct cooling-system parts for your Exeed LX.
Exeed UAE lists a 1.5T or 1.5TCI on the Comfort grade and a 1.6TGDI on the Luxury grade.
That pattern can point to the radiator fan or poor airflow through a blocked radiator. A workshop should check it.
Only when the engine is completely cold. Never open a hot radiator or expansion-tank cap.
Do not assume so. We match cooling parts to the engine shown by your VIN.
ShipMyPart has not verified the type or quantity. Use the owner’s manual or send us your VIN.
