Choose coolant for a petrol Jetour T1 by Jetour's specification, never by colour. Jetour UAE's 2026 and 2027 sheets fit every petrol T1 trim with the same SQRF4J20 2.0-litre turbo engine, but ShipMyPart has not yet verified its coolant type, premix or mix ratio, capacity or replacement interval. We confirm them from your VIN, and 2025 cars and the T1 i-DM plug-in hybrid need their own check. Only inspect the cooling system when the engine is cold.
This guide covers the petrol T1 (Comfort, Luxury and Flagship) with the SQRF4J20 engine, as listed on Jetour UAE's 2026 and 2027 sheets. The T1 i-DM is a 1.5T plug-in hybrid with a different powertrain, so its cooling requirements must be confirmed separately. For a 2025 T1, the VIN confirms which engine and specification apply.

Fluid specifications for this model are confirmed by VIN on request.
Jetour's sheets list an aluminium cylinder head and an aluminium block for the T1's engine. Coolant chemistry is chosen to protect exactly these materials, so the specification matters more than the dye colour.
| Component | Risk with the wrong or worn-out coolant |
|---|---|
| Aluminium head and block | Internal corrosion and deposits |
| Water pump seal | Early weeping and bearing failure |
| Radiator and heater core | Blocked passages and reduced cooling |
| Hoses and gaskets | Faster ageing of rubber and seals |
We haven't yet confirmed whether Jetour supplies the T1's coolant ready-mixed or as a concentrate, so check the bottle you buy against the specification before adding it. Don't top up with a product whose chemistry you can't confirm. Some coolant types react with each other and leave sludge. If you don't know what is already in the car, a full drain and refill with the specified coolant is the safe reset.
| Check (engine cold, car level) | Fine | Needs attention |
|---|---|---|
| Reservoir level | Between the minimum and maximum marks | Below minimum, or dropping week to week |
| Appearance | Clear and evenly coloured | Cloudy, rusty, oily or with particles |
| Cap and neck | Clean seal, no crust | Dried residue or a cracked seal |
Never open the cap while the system is warm: it is pressurised.
Jetour lists a 600 mm wading depth for the petrol T1, but a radiator full of mud afterwards still needs cleaning.
Steady overheating with a full system points to the radiator or the thermostat. A leak or noise at the front of the engine usually leads to the water pump. A level that keeps falling with no visible drip often comes from the coolant reservoir, its cap or the expansion tank. Brittle, swollen or chafed rubber means it is time for new hoses and pipes.
On a T1 the cooling system rarely fails on a cool motorway run. It fails crawling up a dune in Sand mode at midday, or sitting in a car park with the engine idling and the air-conditioning flat out, when airflow through the radiator is lowest and the load is highest. That is when a tired cap, a cracked reservoir or a softening hose gives up.
After every off-road trip, rinse the sand out of the radiator face and look along the hoses. Jetour's coolant replacement interval for the T1 is not yet verified by ShipMyPart, so take it from the owner's manual or a Jetour service centre.
Compatibility verification required
No fluid or part is listed here until its specification has been checked against Jetour's requirement for your vehicle. Send your VIN and we will confirm what fits before you order.
Send your VIN (chassis number) and we will confirm the correct coolant for your Jetour T1.
The coolant Jetour specifies for the T1's SQRF4J20 engine, listed in the owner's manual. ShipMyPart has not verified it yet, so we confirm it by VIN.
On the 2026 and 2027 sheets all three share one engine, so expect the same requirement; we still confirm it by VIN, especially for 2025 cars.
Avoid it unless both meet the same specification. Colour isn't a guide, and some coolant types react together.
With the engine fully cold and the car level, read the reservoir against its marks and look at the coolant. Never open a warm system.
Common causes are a leaking hose, water pump, radiator, reservoir or cap. Have it pressure-tested rather than just topping up.
Follow the owner's manual or a Jetour service centre. We haven't verified the interval, so we don't quote one.
Don't assume so. The i-DM is a plug-in hybrid with a different powertrain, so its coolant must be confirmed separately.
