Quick answer
There is no single transmission fluid for every Jetour T2. Jetour UAE's T2 model pages describe a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (7DCT), while its MY2027 T2 Luxury Plus specification sheet lists an 8-speed automatic (8AT). These are different transmissions with different fluid requirements, so identify the gearbox fitted to your T2 by model year or VIN before buying fluid. The T2 i-DM hybrid is not covered here.
Which transmission does your T2 have?
Official Jetour UAE sources currently show two transmission configurations for the petrol T2 2.0T:
- 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT), described on Jetour UAE's T2 and T2 7-Seater model pages.
- 8-speed automatic transmission (8AT), listed in Jetour UAE's T2 Luxury Plus specification sheet for model year 2027.
This reflects different versions of the vehicle, not an error. The correct fluid depends on the transmission actually fitted to your car. To identify it:
- check your sales documents or specification sheet for the transmission type;
- note the model year on your registration card (Mulkiya);
- or send us the VIN and we will confirm it.
Not covered: the T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid, which uses its own hybrid transmission.

Why DCT fluid and automatic transmission fluid are not interchangeable
A dual-clutch transmission works like two automated manual gearboxes sharing one housing: two clutches take turns driving the odd and even gears. Its fluid is formulated for that clutch and gear design.
A conventional automatic transmission changes gear with planetary gear sets and hydraulically operated clutches and brakes, normally with a torque converter. Its fluid (ATF) is formulated for that system's hydraulic control and friction materials.
Because the friction and hydraulic requirements differ, a fluid made for one type should never be assumed to suit the other, even if the bottles look similar. Use only the fluid specified for your T2's gearbox.
What must be confirmed before fluid is supplied
- Transmission type: 7DCT or 8AT.
- Fluid specification and, where available, Jetour's fluid part number.
- Quantity and procedure: a drain-and-fill usually replaces only part of the fluid, and many modern gearboxes need a set temperature and level-check procedure, so this is normally a workshop job.
- Service interval for your model year, from the service booklet or a Jetour service centre.

4WD driveline: separate lubricants to confirm
The T2 is four-wheel drive. Jetour UAE's model pages describe a BorgWarner 6th-generation 4WD system, and the MY2027 specification sheet lists a central differential torque manager and a rear electronic limited-slip differential.
Driveline components such as differentials and any transfer unit can have their own lubricant requirements. Don't assume they use the gearbox fluid; confirm each one for your vehicle before servicing.
Symptoms that justify a transmission inspection
- harsh, delayed or hesitant gear changes;
- judder or shudder when pulling away, especially in slow traffic;
- engine revs rising without matching acceleration (slipping);
- a transmission warning message or reduced-power mode;
- fluid leaks under the car, or a burning smell after driving;
- new whining, clunking or grinding noises.
Have the gearbox diagnosed before adding or changing fluid. Fresh fluid will not fix a mechanical or software fault, and the wrong fluid can make one worse.
